4th Place!!!! That's almost a ribbon!!

Thanks for all the voters and comments.

For those that wondered about the basic editing, there wasn't a lot of post processing done on this shot. brightness and contrast adjustment, neat image filter for sharpening, slight colour balance adjustment to a cool it down.

Taking the shot was the hard part as I didn't have any help! so i set the camera on a tripod, focused it on where i would be laying and then set the shutter to 13 secs and the aperture to f/11. Clicked the self timer shutter and went to lay down next to a softbox flash that i rested on the floor pointing towards my head and slightly up (as to not light the floor too much) then comes the tricky part! the shutter went and the softbox fired exposing me in the floor, i then quickly pull out an led torch (actually a cheap gimmik cigarette lighter with the torch on the top) hold it at arms length to keep it out the shot and switch it on pointing at my face. Then slowly sitting forward gives the ghostly trail, and holding still at the top gives a more sold exposure of the "soul"

That's it!

Thanks

Really neat idea. Bit worried that my soul isn't going to get a body!

I think this is the best realisation of the concept in the challenge.

This is the best one of these "ghosty"/"soul departing" shots that are so popular that I've seen to date - very well done & conveys the challenge excellently. Is this possible w/in basic editing? I'd sure love to know how you did it.....

A concept that has been done by others in the challenge, too. But this is the best execution of it that I have seen so far. Good work.
