Really had a good day taking street shots. I hope this does well, but in any case I learned a bit and enjoyed it.

Greetings from the Critique Club.

Right off the top I really like this image, it has a story to tell, but then I like street photography. The image has a good composition, but there are a couple of things which you could have done slightly differently to make it even better.

Those two black shadows coming in from the right really break the image in half. Clone them out if you can't shoot them out. Yeah I know about major element removal ;-)

I think a small crop on the right of the image to get rid of the bit after the last pillar would also help clean up the right hand side.

Going to the guitarist, You have him placed really well. Bang on the 1/3rd line, just where he should be. However the light diagonal tiles just coming from his head draw the eye away from him. Tone them down using photoshop.

I really like the diagonals and the exposure seams to be spot on. Maybe just a little more mid range contrast could make this pop. Add a curves adjustment and make a 'S' curve adjustmet. I'm not sure about the added noise, but I have nothing to compare it to.

Probably deserves a little more than the 5.5 in my opinion

i think the B&W conversion could handle a little more contrast. i would have gone back and waited for a different time of day so the shadows on the right would be gone. the title i would have played with and went with a little humor "Little Pixie" or something that refers to the pointed hood the person is wearing. good effort

Nice shot, looks a bit grainy for me, isnt that an electric guitar?

How does he play an electric guitar without an amp? What are the shadows of - what is he looking at? Sometimes a good shot asks more questions than it answers. I'm not sure about the coloration of this - seems to be not quite a black and white, not color.

I know this a perfect picture is almost impossible but the only thing that disturbe me is the crossing shadow.. othe than that, it is perfect..

Nice shot of a man and his strat! I like the noise in this. It works well with the B&W.

I think that I'd like this better if it weren't so noisy/grainy ... seems to need a boost of contrast also ...
