I love the shadow, in fact I love everything about this. Great shot, John and congrats on the ribbon.
03/12/2007 01:17:27 AM
Congrats John!
Probably what impressed me the most was the attention to detail with the total lack of footprints here.
Cool tones and post-processing worked well on this.
03/12/2007 01:11:58 AM
excellent exposure and tones in this extremely HDR situation. Congrats on the ribbon!
03/12/2007 01:11:07 AM

I might've preferred this in color, just a thought.
03/10/2007 08:58:05 PM
Or just '?!'

Not half-bad at all.
The shadow is better than the real thang!
03/10/2007 07:56:59 AM
perfect choice of hue - its striking. contrast well done. Something in the balance just seems slightly off but I can't put my finger on it. 8
03/09/2007 05:39:51 PM
excellent.. 10

This is the first real contender for the ribbon i have come across after voting more than half the challenge. Good luck for this wonderful composition
03/08/2007 09:51:49 PM
i would have titled it "tea in the sahara" ;) nice lighting and shadow and lines
03/08/2007 01:07:35 PM
I really like the tones and contrast in this. Great work!
03/08/2007 09:52:09 AM

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful (10)
03/07/2007 08:56:55 PM
I love the color....also how you can see a cloud through the chair is great....one of my top ten
03/07/2007 12:39:51 PM
Looks cool or hot rather, great shadow and texture of the sand.
03/07/2007 08:53:54 AM
I love this - the duotone is great and together with the perspective makes this a totally cool image. 10.
03/07/2007 05:00:31 AM
awesome. I like the perspective and lighting in it.
03/06/2007 09:56:30 PM
Original photo. Love the colors. 10
03/06/2007 04:38:48 PM
why not, it looks fine there.
03/06/2007 10:52:44 AM
Well composed, good use of wide angle, good toning. Too many dust spots at top right, shadow is too dark while the lights in center are blown.
03/05/2007 08:58:28 PM
WIIIIDE Love baby wide love! Tough one to crop though due to the shadow eh?
03/05/2007 05:24:39 PM
Ok, how did you keep the footprints off the sand ? lol
Well done, great image although i would have liked to have seen a little more contrast on the sand.
03/05/2007 04:26:49 PM
why what? nice shot 8
03/05/2007 02:30:11 PM
Nice capture- Love the simplicity of it and the sand tones are great. One thing though that distracts me as soon as I see this and it's the cloud touching the back of the chair - I know it's a minor point and a bit niggly but if you look at it closely with all these great crisp lines and simple balance it just throws it off for me - Still a great shot though and I love the blue/black PP
03/05/2007 01:49:10 PM
Nice photo. I like the B&W conversion, nice clarity.
03/05/2007 10:43:36 AM
clean and artistic 8
03/05/2007 12:28:46 AM
I really like your edit on this...the duotone really suits it...I am not sure about the actual chair...perhaps a different style would have suited the surroundings better...the title could have been creative as well 7
