I had conceived of the title and concept of this shot long before I took it, so it only took a few minutes to set up and shoot.

PP: Selected the sky and cloned out sensor dust, then cleaned it up and added Unsharp Mask at large pixel radius and low percentage. Then I converted it to b/w. For the ground layer, I converted to b/w and use the Highlight/Shadow filter on the figure and chair.

Resized, sharpened, added sepia and border.

Enjoy!

Very nice picture David... I like the leading line feeling of the grass in the snow a lot... Congrats on the good score :o)

Liked this one a lot during voting, very nostalgic and tells a story. Nice one David, now tell us about those invisible foot tracks!

how did you get in the snow without leaving foot prints? I like the lines in the snow leading the eye to the mountains......great job

i like this composition: how the person is facing down a row and almost directly in front of the mountain. the foreground and background are both interesting - background is very beautiful in and of itself. i am wondering what statement is trying to be made with the photo and its elements. i also wonder how hard it was to get no tracks in the snow?

Trying to get this one ... Godot reference? I like it though, the way the chair goes unused, however there's something about having 2 subjects tugging at eachother along with the many facets of the scenery - Maybe the person standing to the righ of the chair touching it and looking into the distance might have a better balance ... that's all that could be better, the balance.

Excellent! I love the wide angle perspective and the B&W give it a mystical feeling. 10.

Ok, where are the footprints ? Lovely serence shot. More contrast would have been nice.

Nice capture - Love the framing - Love the tones - love the contemporary feel. The two things I would change would be.
1. Sloping horizon.
2. I would darken that left hand side of the sky because it takes your eye out of the frame.
Did you mask out the footprints??? How did you get there without disturbing the snow? Love the shot though regardless.

I'm still thinking about the title. I expect I'll get it eventually. But the photo is very pleasant anyway. 8.

This has a literary element that I can't read. Without it I don't see more than a pleasantly odd picture - 6
