Again, my step-daughter Daria posed for me for this one (she posed for my "Acronym" challenge last year).
She's growing into such a beauty (she's 17 now), and it was a joy to photograph her.
We both hope that our living-room photo session goes down well with the voters.

While the colors are good I wonder if that produced mix messages with what people were seeing in her expression.

Thanks for the good after comment on my image, Richard.
I would also have preferred to process it in b/w but with it being a Colour Portrait Challenge I had to leave it the way it was. I like the image but, as you say, her expression seemed to irritate some voters. I liked the fact that the commenters said what irritated them. At least that way, I learned something out of it.

She is so pretty! Her eyes are mesmerizing, and you capitalized on that gorgeous feature of hers so well! I love the pose and composition with that furry hat! I'm sorry it didn't get rated higher tho.

Smile!! Technically it is very good, but I am not sure about the expression, I mean, for me it conveys boredom (was that the idea?)

Nice picture. I would have loved to see a stronger color on her lips... But the eyes are nicely done (something strange on the white of the the right eye though)...
