Challenge: Multiple Light Sources II (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Nikon AF-S Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED
Location: Home
Date: Mar 20, 2007
Aperture: f/7.1
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/50sec
Galleries: Animals
Date Uploaded: Mar 20, 2007

I used an on-camera fill-in flash, a remote flash on the right side and a bit of window light coming from the left to the background. Lighting was hard to setup since I don't want the fur of the pups to glow.

Although multiple lighting was not so obvious (as should be per the challenge description), those with keen eyes know that I cannot achieve this kind of lighting with a single light source. I just hope my new subjects will be well accepted.

I took just around 5 quick shots (practiced first with a stuffed toy). No puppy was harmed nor stressed during the 3 minute shoot.

I'm maybe missing the multiple light sources. I'm blaming this on myself since I do not know anything about studio lighting. This is SO SOOOO cute!! I like that the background is not a solid black color, but almost, and love the pose of the puppies.

awwwwwww, good idea with the title. Stupid people who've never seen real puppies would probably think they were dead. Excellent lighting, I hope this does well. 9
