Isaac and I were discussing ways of portraying money without using currency. I reminded him that we were going to the laundromat, and asked him to think of things we might see there which had to do with money ... this vending machine was one of them.

The heavily-used look of the button, and my knowledge of this establishment's habitués and their financial situation, engendered the sardonic title.

Almost unadjusted from the camera -- cropped, very slight tone adjustment, two passes with USM, border.

Had to save with JPEG compression at 5/10 (instead of the more typical 7 or 8) because it's so large, and because of the large amount of detail in the stippled metal front.

I thought this was a food machine and you had chosen A12 to eat. Hope you explain what this really is. Good clear shot.

i like the composition and the subject. the focus looks like - to me anyway - its on the a, 1, 2, "length" as opposed to the "closer" push for coin return button. as a result the "main" subject (at least i think the coin button should be the focul point) is blurry imo. 6.

Shouldn't this have been entered in the "Propaganda" challenge? Nice shot, and it makes a good point.

I gave this a 9. I like it. I do wish the focus on the text was a little better. Other then that small point it's good. Neat shot.

I don't know what this is or represents, but technically it looks ok to me.
