 Shot outside in indirect sunlight.

My camera won't ever focus close up like I want it to. :-( So I'm worried that this image is going to appear oversharpened.

Lord of the Rings reference. Chains of the real and of the emotional variety. No DNMC for me this time!

Besides the sharpening issue I am 100% pleased with this shot and super happy that my awesome boyfriend was able to be my model. YAY!

post-challenge: I am of course extremely pleased with my score! My third highest score to date.

i think this is one of your best. I like the shadows as the border and its sharp 3-d looking hand. nice job!

I didn't get around to voting in this challenge but if I had I would have given it a 9. I think you did a great job on post processing. Doesn't look like you over sharpened at all. Great composition and lighting. Keep up the good work.

This is lovely! I'm sorry I didn't vote in this challenge - I would have given you a very high score. I love the dirt on the hands juxtaposed with the shiny jewelry.

a lovely image indeed. the background is just right, with the colours and bokeh, and the focus on the hand is perfect. one could niggle and say the focus could be better on the amulet, but that would just be petty.

Awesome shot!! way to go!! I am a HUGE LOTR's fan and so instantly recognized the neckless very nice! I thought it would do better...still 31 out of 170 is very nice!! Congrats!! Also the title in Elvish is too cool.

That is so cool - I had no idea we could get the necklace! I want one now. I hope people get what this is in reference too. The love story was one great underlying theme in LOTR (bad me - I did not read any books beyond the Hobbit). As for the photo lol, I love the sharpness and detail of the hand and necklace. It's in your face with a subtle message. Love it!
