Camera: Canon EOS-10D

Took this out my car window while stopped at a traffic light. It was a gray day, and the colors were muted, so I pumped up the saturation on the person. Then Achiral was playing with it and desaturated all but the person and I liked it, so thanks to him.

This shot is very surreal. The globes seem other worldly. Awesome.

Top notch-- great shapes, purple is a bit bright-- 10 if it was all black and white-- 9

I like this idea, and the desaturation you've achieved. What I think would have really improved this photo is catching her on the way in to the frame rather than the way out. The crop and execution is otherwise excellent. There is still a bit of blue iin the background which would have been nice to get rid of but I understand it's tricky while following the rules!

I like the person included for a sense of scale

The person adds a splash of color and provides a size reference. Nice touch.

This is one of my favorites. The globes really stand out and the little girl adds that little extra interest. The tones and contrasts are very nice.

Looks like a very surreal place. The spheres are great, and I do like the selective coloring of the umbrella. I think the color is too arresting though. Maybe a darker red or something in that order. Nice flow and balance also. Good stuff though.

Nice spheres! But the girl with the umbrella really adds spice to this image. It may be a bit light, but with good tonal depth.

My first thought with this was, "What a very odd photo!" Those globes are so BIG, and she is so small. I find this shot appealing from several angles: the very "otherworldly" feel of it; the decision to keep only the delightful pink as the "color" element; and the juxtaposition of the tiny girl and the giant globes. I think this shot would have much more impact for me if the background was blurred. It is just "busy" enough that it distracts. This photo makes me wish it was a 360 shot so I could look around and see where the heck am I, and what the heck are these big globes doing here anyway??!! 8

Good job isolating the girl... the shapes of the round objects fit the challenge perfectly. I'd like to see the original image. Excellent... 9.

The spot of purple against all that drab grey really stands out and makes the picture. It might have been stronger if she were left of center and appearing to walk into the picture, rather than out of it.

i think i would have liked it better all black and white. the architectural spheres are a powerful element in the image, but the single color on the umbrella takes away from the impact of the shapes.

Nice work but you made the whole picture as Black and White and you emphasize the girl? So my eyes were looking at the girl instead of the shape of circles...

Very cool. The desaturation works well here. Very cool photo.

Nice shot, if not for the purple umbrella.

Think I would have prefered this without the girl in the shot as it distracts from the shapes. The selective desaturation does not really work for me as again it takes the emphasis away from the globes.

Very impressive. Little too pink maybe on the gloves/unbrella, as it looks a little fake, but other than that I love it.

This is an interesting shot, I like the subject here, and like the balck and white and the colors of the little girl's umbrella, good job
