What to say? Congratulations, even if I liked more another shot in this challenge, the blue ribbon is good to balance the one that you deserved SO MUCH and didn't get... I still love your hair entry very very very much! Hope you will not think I am unpolite not paying to you the compliments you deserve on this image and focusing my attention on another one ;)

| Black and White was a good choice. In the color version the color in the big one doesnt really go as well with the other two. Here they are all harmonious. All 3 shots are excellent. |

This is one of my top5 faves from the challenge. Not easy deciding between the color and b/w version, but I easily say the top right frame in color is my fave.

Greetings from the Critique Club -
Wow - what were you thinking submitting this image? Did you think you would ribbon with this or something? Oh - wait a minute - you did ribbon? What was I thinking. Oh yeah - I was thinking this was the best shot in the challenge, thats what I was thinking.
What else can I say Enzo. Great work. All three are great images that fit perfectly together. The b&w was a great choice over the color - though the color has its own special charm I dont think it would have scored as well. I have absolutely nothing to suggest to make this better. This shot cuaght me at first glance and I felt bad for every image that came after it in voting cause this was my benchmark. High benchmark to reach thats for sure.
Keep up the great work and congrats once again!

Enzo, CONGRATULATIONS on your first blue with such an impressing score from all users and particularly from commenters!!. I am glad you used the 70-200 to manage DOF so well in this set of stunning images. I love that lense.
Too bad I did not have a chance to vote. I would have given you the 46th 10 and a comment to rise your Avg commenter's score even more. I bet that 9.1250 for 77 comments is a dpc record or at least close to it.

Yep - Masterful use of the duo-tone - well done. The colour image is pretty, but nowhere near as atmospheric. That, and the surfers don't appear as crisp - particularly the top right one.

| This is a bit different from the usual surf shots, I love the silhouettes and the sparkle of the surf. Very dramatic and works beautifully as a triptych. |

On first round, I give this best in show! The b&w has depth and adds to the mood (it seems like so many times it is used in an attempt to make art out of a bad photo). A strong 10 from me. Good luck!
Edit: Yup, best in show, with "he sleeps well" a close second. I'm sure you'll both do well. |
