I really like the lighting on this shot. Just a soft even lighting, also, great colors, saturation. Very Nice!

So I guess most ppl don't really care about the haloing introduced in with tone mapping. I don't like it though... it screams bad photoshop work to me.

I like the composition though.

David, congrats on the shot and on the first place ribbon. We need to start traveling together again so I can pic up more of your pearls of photography wisdom. I'm headed to London next month... I see a trip out to Stonehenge on my agenda.

Congrats on the Blue stranger!!! :)

I am very happy for you. I knew it would only be a matter of time before you figured out 'the DPC code'... (not that I ever will)

Well deserved and great job!

Blue blue blue - woo hoo! Congrats on the blue ... and this one shows up on your front page (if you have enough images showing). Congratulations teammate!

So...both your ribbons are from trips away from home. You should sell the house, by a house-bus and hit the road. It's the only way to ensure you get more ribbons you know ;)

Wahooo, that's blue, dude! :D

Congratulations, David! While I hate the processing of the sky, the rest of the image was so dead-on for the challenge it couldn't help but win! Great job! :)

Nicely captured and it ties into the challenge on many levels. It feels a bit over-sharpened to me, but that's such a catch-22 here at dpc. If you didn't over-sharpen, I'd probably be saying it feels too soft! Either way, the lighting is lovely and the colors are nice and rich. Great job!

Nice shot - and no people in sight! Nicely done! Seems to be a strange lightness above the two foreground TT shapes - is that a halo from darkening the sky? Not sure, it just looks odd. Nice image overall.
