| I absolutely love the crop and the border choice. The border gives an impression of a 'widescreen' view but we get an especially close-up view of the cow as she stares back at us. Clarity/details of the face is wonderful - look at the eyelash detail and those wonderful black flecks of color on her white striped portion of her face!!!! Love the black & white tones of the cow really pop in this photo - contrast of subject and capture could not be any better. |

| love the crop - it brings the viewer this much closer to the cow. i like the border - gives it some balance. |

Awwwww. . .This is kind of an optical illusion with all the shapes of white and black. I had to study it a minute to see the cow. I LOVE it! Cows are some of my favorites things to photograph. I'm sure I'll have a couple during this 30-day thing too :)

Beautiful eyelashes on Bossy, the Cow. Yeah, funny how BW animals make the bw challenge a bit easier, doesn't it?

This is a fantastic photo, great idea great delivery, In a challenge I would have given this a high score, the only thing that could have made it higher would have been if you could have got the ear as sharp as the rest of the face
Love the eye (even with the reflection) and the fact that the lashes stand out as they do gives it a real wow element

| That cow needs to wash his face! Like the composition and where you've placed the eye. Personally, I almost wish for more depth so the spots on in the rear are as crisp but I could also see that making a big incomprehensible mess of things so perhaps its better as presented. Nice shot. |

Hard to see what it is as first glance, but then I see it is a cow.....
Quite a lot of DOF in this one.....I love the eye..... |
