 This is one of many images I took when down in Sydney at my cousinmg place at Newport. I am pleased with this black and white conversion.
My first entry in the "30 Day black and white" challenge, called "Towards the Light", was taken from this jetty at dusk. See velow.....

This is really nice, Shez! The high contrast between lights and darks is really well done. And there's something about piers over water that are just always appealing!

You're doing really wonderful in this side challenge! I hope it is good for your soul and you are recovering at record pace :)

Love the strong contrasts in this one, and it's great how the jetty angles you into the image from slightly to right and takes you into the center.

This is beautiful

Absolutely outstanding sharpness tones and contrast

The shadows of the fencing are really tight and appealing

I love the strong light in this - so often people try to avoid shadows (or so it seems) but good strong shadows really add strength to a picture, as they do here. Love the ripples in the water, too. You're doing a bang-up good job on these conversions!

I especially like the shadow of the electrical line on the dock that led my eye right up into the heart of the shot. Nice job.
