Funny I had a similar response. I didn't vote but I doubt there was another entry quite like it. At first I didn't like the benches (intersecting the steps) but I think they help balance things out overall.

I just could not bring myself to vote of any of the entries for that challenge. I took one look at the thumbs and said, that's it. Usually, I am diligent in voting. At least your entry was a little inspiring. The ramp, a politically motivated architectural adaptation possibly, is an interesting counterpoint to those classic steps. It's like a random frame from an art-observant life, at least as suggested by the freeze-frame walker.

My first reaction to this photo is "I hate you!" I was just in the city yesterday trying to take photos like this, and I didn't even know where to begin. Look at the rhythm of this photo, so much of it is dark but it just adds mood without detracting from anything.

although the perspective does say that there is a vanishing point somewhere far off to the left for those stairs
