Shot on manual setting. Set up was tripod, self timer, and a watering can sprinkling water on the tulips. In pp first cropped then created a background copy. Went to layers, hue/sat, and first did yellow, sat -100%. Next went to green, then blue, then red with setting at -100%. Decided that I wanted a bit more color so erased at 75% around parts of the tulip, which allowed a bit more color to come through without losing the desat idea. Flattened image and adjusted levels, shadows and highlights, and brightness and contrast. Dodged and burned parts of the tulip to bring out more shadow details as well as to bring out the drops of water more. Resized and sharpened at 34%, radius at .4. Also spot sharpened some of the veins in the tulip as well as the water at the base of each tulip.

Hi June. On your profile page this one caught my eye because the rain seems curved. I didn't see the desat right away. I like this for the relationships between the water, the tulips, & the light.

Wonderfu. Nice colors, composition, and water always seems to add something special to an image.

June - The lighting on this was so nicely done - i loved how the rain/ shower gave it that little extra pop!

It was hard work going through the challenge entries to find two that I liked. Yours is one of the photos. 10.

looks like the rain came out a can; on the left are no drops. But otherwise well done

Good lighting and raindrops perhaps even shallower DOF for more blurred background may have helped? Good luck
