thanks ^^ I actually had a higher score than the 2nd place photo one hour before the end of the challenge, and got some last minute "low votes" :P

Wonderful colors in this. I love the contrast of the rich blues in the damselfly and the grass. The curving lines are also gorgeous.

I like how the grains seem to be paying tribute to the damselfly. For yes, it is a damselfly. (Probably a blue ringtail, if you look up "damselfly" in Wikipedia ;-Þ ). Well placed, good work, Justin.

Well I had your identity down pat - sadly I was off the money on your placement. I was certain this would ribbon.

Beautiful smooth and creamy bokeh. The nearest reeds of grass and the dragonfly really pop. Great photo!

Wow, the contrast in the colors here really makes this image lovely. I love the "flow" of the wheat, and the gorgeous blue against the warm tones of the background. Wonderful job with this, one of my favorites in the challenge.

woooowwwww, beatiful color and contrast. I'm kinda feeling iffy about the composition, but other than that, fantastic!

btw, I think that's actually called a damselfly, but whatever :)

nice use of rule of thirds. great contrasting colours. should do well. 7

By the way - thats a damsel fly.. not marking it down. just pointing it out.. thats all.

Very beautiful image, love the complimentary colours yellow and blue. To be truthful this is a damselfly and not a dragonfly, but I can forgive you that ;-)

Love how the dragonfly is so vertical in contrast to its surroundings. Nice approach.

Absolutely stunning. This is certainly a strong contender. Stylistically, this is reminiscent of some of elsapo's butterflies - if you are not he, then take that as a compliment. Would perhaps have liked the tail to be slightly crisper, but a deeper dof might have compromised the overall effect. 10.

I really like the bright blue against the color of the grain. Wish the insect was a little sharper but it doesn't detract from the overall appeal of the photo.

Great composition, colors, everything! The patterns formed by the wheat contrast the dragonfly perfectly.

Now this is an impressive image; I usually can't bear nature shots, they just don't interest me, but this has real photographic quality also, which is so unusual in the genre. Very well done.

Well "technically" this is a damselfly but I will not take off points for that. This is a stunning photo.

Well composed. Love the complementary blue/yellow. The lines of the bending grasses are lovely - pointing right to the bug.
