took photographs on firetrail today using my hoya magnifying filters & was playing around in photoshop with a couple of dead plant images that i shot, and 'saw' a 'creature' ... developed it and then thought i'd add some eyes ..
ok .. chose eyes from one of my cows at first, but it looked pretty manic .. then used some eyes from one of my sheep photos which i preferred to the cow's eyes, coz they gave this pretty aggressive image a bit'v softness!!! ..
then i thought it might improve the general appearance if i added the sheep's snout as well ...
decided to go all out and add ears too ..
so all the various features of the sheep were brought in separately and merged in with the background which was a couple of photographs of some dead plants ..
this is one of the photographs of the dead plants made b&w for the 30 day b&w challenge ..

Roz - what a kick! I love this! Looks like the Queen of Fairy Sheep, casting her benevolent gaze upon her subjects. Awesome photoshopping - great depth, and needless to say, a grand and twisted imagination.

Roz this is freaky, but in a damn fine way. This creature looks like it should be be beaming itself upon every tv in the land telling humans to prepare for the invasion of the martian-sheep-plant things

The overlay is wonderful as well in that it makes it look as if the sheep has a quiff!

I like this way more than I should!!!!

You just blow me away with your ideas and amazing processing methods, as they work, especially with this one.....
It has a real sense of mystery, surrealism, yet it could also be something from the past, in the dinosaurs days.
It freaks me out, but I like it. I like it a lot.....
