Here's the obligitory London Eye photo that every DPC member must take when in London! I tried to get a perspective that wasn't the typical "night shot down the tree lined lane" but the weather didn't help. The day was very overcast hence the abundance of clouds.

Tone map
Lens correction filter to mostly straighten wheel

Post Challenge:
Well, I never expected such a score from this image and a top 10 in a Free Study is fab. I wonder how much not levelling the horizon cost me? A 7 or a top 5 perhaps? Oh well. It is actually level but because the river curves it looks to be crooked. I should have rotated it a little but.

I think your shot is awesome as is the editing and I agree it is a shot every photographer must take.
I just wanted to point out that you are allowed to sell pics of the London Eye unless you have written permission from BA themselves. By selling a print here DPChallenge could face legal action as well as yourselves.
But I'm sure you've taken all the ness precautions :D

very dramatic and ominous looking. it does feel like it needs to be rotated just a hair to the left, though maybe my chair is crooked again

Lots of drama in those clouds that's for sure. Very nice contrast, the details are all well emphasized because of it. Well done!

I love how dark and ominous the sky is in contrast to the cheery atmosphere that the ferris wheel would represent. Great photo!

Really beautiful use of b&w - the clouds are amazing and the tonal range is gorgeous. May just be me, but the horizon looks a little crooked. 8.

We see this landmark all the time but the HDR and BW combined just gives it so much depth and character. I love it. The sky rocks.

Great composition and tonal control but the HDR has pushed this one a little too far. 7

Lovely shot of the Eye, not quite sure how much dodging and burning went on with the sky given the weather we have been having recent but it looks wonderfully ominous
