 Took some clear pushpins and a piece of insulating foam and made the bell outline. Lit from the side, it was all pretty flat, so I played around with the Curves until I had something kind of reminiscent of decorative lights. I espeially liked the way the light slanting through the pinheads at the upper-right separates into a rainbow effect.

Handheld shot, a little sharpening, added black border.

The dark colors give me an impression of a depressed holiday spirit and if it weren't for your title, I would think that was the tackiness here.
