A very clean, minimalistic, and hypnotic composition. Love the bold blues that are almost electric against the black backdrop of the surface water. The lines that gather around the paperclips are very psychedelic in that the electric blue color and the chaotic/fractal flow of the lines deliver an intensified sensory perception to the eye. Lighting is absolutely spot on and the focus on the main elements is in sharp clarity. Great job here! Perhaps if you still have those blinds laying around as a prop for a future composition you could try bending the paperclips into different shapes (say a treble clef for example) and see how the the light/reflections bend around them.

really nice shot. Only thing that I dont like is that I saw the exact same shot in a photgraphy magazine before you did your first one. Just not very original thats all. You still did a great job copying though!

A ribbon out of sheer simplicity of subject. Let those that complain that they have nothing to shoot ponder this image and perhaps consider that the shot is really inside you and anything will do to express it. Congratulations on your Yellow!

Stunning photo -great lines, colors and composition - one of my picks for a ribbon. I was just hoping to have your mathematical data to support why a paperclip will float in the water....

This is just so brilliantly done... I'm at a loss for words (which doesn't happen very often ;-) Mega congratulations on your yellow ribbon.

Sublime abstract. Might you reveal two things....what liquid did you use and how far away were the blinds from your subject. I've so been wanting to try this and have not been successful in the least. Congrats on your ribbon!

Excellent idea. Brilliantly executed. This one works better than the other version due to the closer crop.

I actually tried something similar to this, but ending up not submitting. Now I'm glad I didn't. Yours is far superior. Good idea to use two paperclips to get more of the nice lines. Very good.

There are always one or two images in a challenge where I think: "I wish I did that!" … this is one of those. Beautiful. It does seem strange that the clips are a bit soft but this is all about the reflection I suppose.

Reminds me of gaurawa's photo although I'm sure I've seen it a few other places as well. Fits the challenge really well but as a photograph I'm not in love with it. Not voting just commenting.
