beautiful. yet another reason for me to start a Looking 101 thread. If people had any appreciation of Francis Bacon or Egon Schiele or the Surrealists... I could go on and on...

good subject and the b/w seems to suit it.

really cool sepia image - love the softness of the background to contrast the sharpness of the horse

There is a vague whiff of "disturbing" about this photo - that's a good thing, it draws me in and makes me wonder about it. Like that you can make out the faint hint of the eye through the cloth, like the "used" details, the fraying threads and rips.

Interesting subject. Light is okay, but the conversion to monochrome would be best represented in true b&w. The contrasts are not quite balanced. Your whites aren't quite white and the blacks are muddy. Well composed and framed.

I don't know much about this, but that looks harsh. Besides that, good job in keeping the detail. B/W works..

I don't know what this is called but I sure would hate to be that horse

Somehow that just seems wrong. Admittedly, I know nothing about horses and there may be a perfectly good reason. Looks like he is ready for a game of peek-a-boo. :-)

Nice detail...but the composition needs improvement.
