I was sitting at the table next to two older men when I heard the gentleman you see in the shot say:
"My only regret in life is.."
My friend spoke up about something and I never did hear what the gentleman said. I thought if there ever was a conversation I wanted to evesdrop on this was it. I borrowed my friend's sigma 10-22, placed it on the table and took the shot. Got it home and played with it until it seemed to fit the conversation I had heard. And now I am stuck looking at it and wondering...
Was going to be my Free Study entry...switched last second.

brilliant edit, just enough whites to awake your ears, just enough blacks to wonder what you missed

I remember seeing this shot a while ago and I couldn't believe I didn't add it to my favourites. Since then I've been trawling through the black and white gallery in a vain attempt to find it. Now incredibly I've just stumbled across it in the forums. It really is the most wonderful photo and one you should be very proud of.

You should... j/k. :)

Fascinating candid. There's a great mystery to it. The man in shadows, the odd abstract flowers in the ad, the tentative and uneasy look of the old man. There's a world here that's grand and with it a sense of loneliness.

I switched mine 3 times in 30 minutes. ha ha

This is wonderful. Can't wait to see which one you entered. Great low key. He just pops off of the page amidst all of the shadowy tones.

Here's an idea for DPC. Have a checkbox on bucket's upload page that automatically puts every friggin' thing he posts in my favorites.

Dude. This is one of the most magnificent photos I have ever seen and that is no shittake. I'm stealing this one.
