The execution is just wonderful here. My thought is that this little clothespin has given you years of service and now that it's broken you have this affinity towards it. By taking this picture it will live on and it has proven itself again as being special. Then again I could be wrong.

fantastic image ... sepia color really enhances the 'old' feel ... choice of subject is perfect, DOF is great ... awesome start to the month!

Awesome shot; I wonder if moving it just a tiny bit left would strengthen it even more (though I'm not sure it would, honestly; the centered composition works pretty well here given the precise use of DoF). I love this. Fav'd.

Love the bokeh in this shot, it sure makes the object pop right out of the shot. Great idea.

Fantastic focus you've got going here - you've successfully turned a very ordinary object into a very interesting one to look at!

Good idea to select just one clothespin (this way I learnt a new word in English) and blur the others!

Love the tones... Love the objects, especially the wonderful DOF and also love the composition, re this very simple image of a wooden peg.....

Actually doesn't look like a pin or a peg, maybe it should be called a "clothesclamp". Excellent picture of a simple subject. One in very sharp focus and others out of focus really points out the subject. Good shot.

Really like the depth of field and the sepia. Good and sharp on the focal point. The white background stripe is a distraction, though I'm sure it was unavoidable in this shot.

Wonderful dof and I love the sepia tones.

We call them pegs :)) Friend who'd just arrived here and was setting up her flat asked where she could buy clothespins......we all looked totally blank till she'd described them.
