An example of a very artistic photo that gets punished on DPC. I always look forward to seeing your work, and this is no exception. I would actually prefer it without the reaper-type figure in the back, though. I think with just the woman as a subject it would be a gallery-quality photo. (Realize it wouldn't have worked for the challenge that way, but my .02 for your portfolio.)

Jayson, I think this was a very nice shot. Unfortunately, you tried to make people think and that is a no-no in DPC. I thought this conveyed a very strong message. Good job.

Interesting shot. However, for this challenge, I'm finding it hard to identify the second subject. Keep experimenting, though!

Effing cool. This is the first pic that i looked at, then read the title and then had to do a "double take" at the picture...for that you get a 10...the only one i gave!

Would have been a great pic if you managed to get the two people in focus.

hummm... This just isn't very fun to look at, sorry. I'd like something to be in focus.

The literal "double take" required to see what's going on in this picture is probably well beyond the DPC half-second voter. But for those that stop, it's pretty durn nifty.

Interesting effect, it's hard to focus on any one spot due to the blur.

Way too much blur

Way too blurry. Whatever your intended purpose, I do not think it came out very well. The contrast is good, making use of the full tonal range, but the rest of the photo needs some work. Actually, just a reshoot. It looks like it was an attempt for a motion panning, but the subjects are blurred as much as the background.

I can't figure out what I'm seeing. I'll be looking for your comments after the voting is done, as I can't see the double take here.

Hmmm..... This really made me think....and look. I think it is a good photo, but unfortunately it does not appeal to me. I score it average with a 5. Maybe I would have scored it better in a different category. I hope that others like it more than me..... Good luck.
