Stunning set of pics, Jay. Sorry Getty/AP jumped in to steal thunder. But such is life. You were there first and with the same quality. Now, what's next? Better up the ante. How about photographer goes swimming with wild aquatic tigers.... use the rubberized Nikon for that one ;-)

I like your challenge entry very much, but this one is just wicked! The look in that Tiger's eyes is just scary!! Great group of pictures!

Jeff this series and especially this image are (pun intended) the "cat's ass"! Great work man! :-)

Sorry mate, but hands down this should have been your entry. It's much more powerful - very well caught indeed. I like the fact that there's less tiger and more weird-underwater-predator about it. The look into camera is priceless.

Bad luck!

It's a close one to call between this and the ribbon winner, as here the tiger's looking straight at the camera which is frankly terrifying! But I think you made the right decision, in the other shot there's a greater sense of dimension, with the position of the tiger's body and its tail coming out behind it. Awesome shots and congratulations on the blue!

Can it be, since you have these outtakes in your workshop, that they are not showing up in our favorites? At least not in mine. Perhaps you could put these awesome shots in your accessible portfolio - pleeeeeze?

You are lucky that there was some thick glass. He was going to tear you up...

Who would win in a fight? A crocodile or this tiger?

This is awesome stuff. I think it's much more powerful than the one you entered. The eye contact is great. Looks like he's about to say, "have you gotten your darn picture yet"! But the underwater environment shows thru better in the other, so it was the best one to enter.

I think this is heaps better than your ribbon shot and that one was great and worthy of the Blue. For this one I like the colour and I think a squarer crop (mainly from the top) would make it even better.

That is one pissed off kitty cat. Well, probably not really, but certainly looks the part. Love this one as well as your entry (though much prefer the B&W treatment - adds a mythical quality that way.) VERY nice work - congrats on the shots and the success with them, both here and in the real world!
