As if the nature of some comments on this image provided an answer to the question its title poses... cynically.

Nice portrait. I think it'd stand without the heavy-handed title, but I of course won't change your score for that. Nicely done.

I love the pic. Nice candid. I think the title really isn't necessary. Image is very strong photographically and is well done.

This is a good subject. But I think to really get the message accross you need to have something in the frame to locate him. It's corny, but something like a flag or a recognisable geographic or architectural feature will make your message pop out naturally.

I love that he is looking right at the camera and knows he is being photographed. That lends a certain dignity to images of people such as this. Very well done.

Not a bad photo, and it asks a good question, but it just doesn't work for me. 6

I am not a good photographer, I do not claim to be better than anyone, any criticism is meant to be constructive criticism......

I wonder what he would have said if you went up to him and said, "I have a job for you for 30 days. It pays $15.00 hour. Before I pay you, you need to have your SS #/card. They will take taxes out of your check for federal, state and FICA. You will clear about $10.00 hour. Are you willing to work for the money and pay your taxes like the majority of law abiding citizens?"

I had a lawn business in New Orleans before the storm. When I'd see people like this I'd ask them if they wanted to spend the day cutting grass with me. The answer was always NO ! Not one time did I get one of these guys to work for the money...not one !

So IMO it is not "the richest country in the world's" fault that this guy is sitting on the bench.

BTW...it is a good picture...I gave it an 8.
