thanks for all the votes and comments...

for those who asked about the pp of this picture...

------>

** HDR from single RAW image, then tone mapping all in photomatix.

** Taken to photoshop, altered all channels in curves to my liking (something similar to cross processing)

** Cropping.

**subtle dodging and burning.

** Added a New adjustment Layer (Channel Mixer), and set it to monochrome, then adjust to my liking to get a good black and white.

** Set the opacity of the channel mixer to like about 34% to bring out some color out (in a way making the colors somewhat dull, or not so bright)

** Duplicate the main layer, then applied gaussian blur (about 7.5%), applied a mask and painted with black what i didn't want blurred. left the blur mainly around the corners.

** applied a green photo filter at about 27% density.

**finally sharpened with unsharp mask and resized.

I like the effect you have on this photo. Your colors are there but are lightened from their original color. nice

Great picture, love the color. I think there is just a little too much dead space at the bottom of the photo.. 8, but I think cropped a little differently could have been a 9

Editing pushed a little too far for me and I think you could lose the bottom 1/4 BUT - excellent capture and I love the tones (just don't care for the rest of the effect). DOF and POV dead on - great work! bump.

Very unique image. I like the fact that he's sitting on the ledge for two reasons. The bricks are a nice backdrop for grungy pictures. Also, the ledge's (perceived?) height combined with his position and the fact that he's playing a little flute gives him a mystical, fairytale-like feeling. Why is he up there? I don't know, but it looks like he belongs up there :)

Not quite sure whether this is a 'pure' candid, as i kind get teh feeling that he must have been aware of your presence, but still a very good image. I would love to know how you pp'd it as the colours have a wonderful muted surrealness to them, which suits the image subject completely

Cool capture. A little too much post processing for my taste, but very neat model. 7

This doesn't feel like a candid to me. The semi-joey-lawrence processing might be contributing to that.

I hope you post the original - I'd really like to better understand the PP. Cheers!
