I had taken plenty of shots for this challenge all day, while touring the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville PA. On our way home, while walking through a parking lot, I noticed this abandoned building. The contrast of the brick against the sky caught my eye... and the tiny window built into the larger (former) window cavity was intriguing to me.

subtle abstract look at negative space.

For me, I wonder how this would look with the sky cropped out. I like the high contrast between the window and the bright bricks.

Looks like a window where windows once were. If there is more of the orangish brick on either side of this shot then I think I crop out the blue sky at the top and put more of the brick on the left, right and bottom. Your neg space is really the bricks and the sky adds nothing to the shot. That power line is distracting a little but not too badly imo.

A different crop would have made made a dramatic photo imo. Nice colors and concept.

You are the lucky recipient of my 1000th comment.

I don't like the sky and all the wires. They really distract from what is a good image. A crop below the shadow on the top of the wall seems to give this more impact.

Nice shot, good focus and processing. Would have packed a bigger punch (for me) if the sky were cropped out.

i like the contrast b/w the new brick and the old brick but i'm not sure if that's what you were going for...

would have been better to cut out the sky

For me, this might've worked better with the sky cropped out.

A tighter crop to just the building would have been great. the stuff above it is distracting.

perhaps it was not possible but i feel this would have had more impact without the sky and the only the wall, still i like it /7
