| One of my favorites for this challenge. The reds almost get lost in the low key background, but you manage to pull out enough color to please the eye. I might normally complain about the highlights, but they seem to draw my attention to the darker objects. Okay, the light could be just a bit softer, but even at that it isn't excessively harsh. I really like the arrangement and the accouterments. |

| I like those little orange ones on the bottom :) I have a small garden beside my condo where i cultivate a few assorted hot pepper plants each summer... I grow a few of the golden habaneros, serrano, and cayenne... the assorted and random seeds in this image give me the impression of a firecracker going off... good shot :) = 8 - jmsetzler |

| The 1st annual Miss Pepper contest -- the bright star on the pedestal. The strip that goes up is what creates interest in this photo for me. It could be the sash on the Miss America of Peppers. All the other little peppers just crowd 'round wanting to be a part of the action. The pepper seeds work nicely as confetti. This photo evokes a feeling of celebration in me. I like it. The composition is very nice. The title doesn't really work for the feelings the photo evoked in me. I understand the reference of course, but the photo seemed more one of celebration to me. 7, just-married |

| Heartburn; it's not my heart I'd be worrying about burning :o) This has been an exceptionally high quality challenge, and as I look again at your shot, I am thinking I have to go high again. Exceptionally good use of colour and background, great contrasting shadows, inventive composition, well lit - but it's the use of silver that shifts this shot up a notch! Up there with the bestâ€Â¦ Good luck, even with a 10 from me it's still going to be hard contest to winâ€Â¦ |
