Challenge: Where's Waldo? III (Advanced Editing V)
Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ED
Location: East Hartford
Date: Jun 23, 2007
Aperture: F4.2

Shutter: 1/200
Galleries: Candid, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Jun 23, 2007

Taken at the local Harley Davidson Dealer with a huge mural painted on it. My son kept running down to see the bikes and listen to the music. I converted to B&W, adjusted, levles, Brightness contrast, USM, dodged a bit on my son to make him stand out more.

WOW! Top ten! and 39 comments! Thanks everyone.

Excellent shot. The stark contrast really makes this shot. Good job.

That's awesome, I love it. It took me awhile to see the little boy.

This is, in my opinion, the best Waldo study. Of course, I realize that many voters will prefer an actual scene, but if the object is to hide Waldo than this image accomplishes this feat with gusto! Congratulations on your top ten finish and very good score!

awesome hiding of the waldo! He looks like part of the motorcycle at first! Your use of the paintings on the wall is excellent - all the textures and tones camoflauge the waldo perfectly.

What a cute little Waldo near the bike front tire. You probably chose b/w to hide waldo better and I think it looks good this way but I'd like to see that painting in color after the challenge. This is a great shot of some very cool art.

Great use of the painting to "hide" "Waldo". Composition here is maybe a bit too influenced by the challenge (bringing Waldo into the frame a bit more would strengthen it to my eye), but works nicely as is. Nicely seen and shot.

Thats pretty cool. I'm assuming HDR. or is it just the nature of the painted wall?
