Although this appeared more fantasy than sci-fi to me, this was my only 10 for the challenge, I really liked this image. Thanks for this image and congrats on the high placing.

"El ojo que ves no es ojo porque tú lo veas , es ojo porque te ve." Antonio Machado, spanish poet.

Really an interesting photo , I love the color , the overall "mood".
my vote 10

Lovely Pan's Labyrinth tribute, you've captured the director's sense of style beautifully.

I really enjoy the effects here and I think they look great, except for where the arm comes out of the book.

This is startlingly moody and accomplished work. I suspect it will suffer as compared to the flashier shots, but it has my "10": it's very well-constructed and a complete work of art.

thematically or metaphorically, this isn't coming together for me, but it looks fantastic. In other words, the perfect science fiction book cover!

reminds me of jerry uelsmann (you look up the spelling. ;P) Beautifully conceived and executed. Colors tones excellent and consistant - something often overlooked in composites. Well done - 9

10, nice work, a little blur where the arm meets the book but overall feel is great

Very nicely done. Texture is really very appropriate and interesting, and the colours you've chosen are great. My quibble is the see-through part of the arm as it comes out of the page, but nevermind. Wonderful work, 8.

I think this is a better way to use Expert Editing. The bottom of the hand where it's coming out of the book doesn't look right to me. But then again, I don't know what your real idea here is. I like the choice of your photographs and presentation.

Eek, quite disturbing. Really like the overlaid texture, the yellow toning and the surreal nature of this one.

I like the style of this image. Reframing it so the book is centered would make this ever so slightly better I think.

I like the old rustic look that you added. I also like how the page in the book is folded, it adds to the image. Great imagination. Good Luck!

This is really odd. I don't like it that much.. kind of freaky.. but an undeniably great pic

Great idea... but with the option of doing almost anything... I would have liked to see the arm transfer much more crisp and clear and the darker color between the fingers gone...to match the background more convincingly. I am not sure if the 'see-thru' effect was intensional indicating a ghostlike apparition coming up from the pages of the book, and if that is the case... excellent. But if not the case...then it should have been made non-transparent.

Otherwise, I liked this shot. Good imagination!!! (7)
