Cool horse shot. Almost looks fake.

very nice picture of the young horse. unfortunately your PP ruins it. Your manipulation with the guassian blur is too visible.

What a gorgeous horse and a great capture. It feels like he's going to come right out of the image.

Your edit is freaking me out but I like it! A little rough on the edges but I'll get over it: 8

I love the constant exploration of babies, all kinds. This captures the moment so nicely.

this looks oversharpened with halos around the colts legs....

This relates to your weekend how? Did you give birth to a colt? What? DNMC=1

edit;
I can understand how you travelling to take a picture of the colt would constitute something you did this weekend. But I still think your title could have tied the colt into the challenge a little better.

The photo itself is nice, though I find the rose bush a bit of a distraction from the colt. The front hoof being clipped by the crop is also a hinderance. The color and exposure is nice.

Since I still feel there is some DNMC in this photo, I am raising it from my DNMC=1 to a 5. With the hoof and the rose shrub I would have voted it a 6, but am deducting slightly for the DNMC because I can see that some intent was there.

Beautiful animal - good stop motion here. I think this would have been improved somewhat if you'd got down a little lower and given the front hoof some context/grounding. You could also probably crop a centimetre or two from the top without losing anything.

the artificial blurring really really doesn't work well here. around the feet it makes the colt look like he is pasted into the photo

This looks completely fake...

The pixelation around the feet is horrible. I like the thought and the general photo, but that one part kills it. Completely over edited, and the effect makes it look like the colt was pasted onto the picture or just floating there. I understand the attempt at depth of field, but even the ground where the hooves strike isn't even clear and takes away that aspect.

not sure about the editing/blurring around the feet...it just doesn't look right

The horse looks way over-processed in comparison with the rest of the picture.
