This is a picture of mom on the 4th of July feeding dad one of the last meals he was able to eat. You cant see it in the photo but she is in a wheelchair and she has been his full time care giver for the past 4 yrs, all of which he hasnt been able to setup or even turn himself over. we dont expect him to last much longer for he went into a coma on the morning of the 13th. If this doen't show true love and devotion i dont know what does.

True love indeed. It reminds me of my parents who were married for over 50 years. My dad was bedridden for several years (he passed on last year) and mom took care of him, just like this, day and night, in spite of her own aches. But no matter how hard it was for her she still, to this day, misses him, as I am sure your mom will miss your dad.

My prayers are for your family.

A precious moment captured forever by your talent with a camera. I know these last days must be challenging, so I hope your memories of healthier times carrry you through.

David, this is perfect. While many people try to take photography "to another level", do something not done before, or "cutting edge" - what have you - we often forget that photography, in it's purest form, is capturing the moment. This is one of those moments, and I'm sure it will be treasured in your family for many years to come. This most definitely shows true love and devotion in its purest form. Your parents (and you) are very fortunate - not a lot of people experience this.

so. lately i've been looking through A LOT of photography portfolios around the web. while there is a lot a very talented work out there, i kept coming across one fashion photographer after another... the ones that make already pretty girls look pretty. it is SO SO SOOOOO refreshing to see a photo like this. a photo with the truest of beauty. a photo that has heart and soul in it. not just makeup and photoshop. a photo that is timeless. not one that will die out with the latest trend. a photo that makes me want to be a better person. not one that makes me feel bad about myself. a photo that brings tears to my eyes. truly amazing. thank you so much for sharing this!!!

Quite a strong and sentimental photo. Full of a lot of emotion. I like that the word "magic" is peeking out from behind them.

Hugs and prayers for you and your family.

Bless them both. My dad was in a similar situation and the peace they are given at the end is a gift. Your mom will be free of her caregiver chores, but I'm sure her heart will ache for former days. Sending love and thoughts from Texas.
