 I took nearly a hundred shots in and around the Rainbow and Horseshoe Falls this weekend. While this one doesn't depict the Falls itself, ...and may not be the most interesting to others (I live near Niagara Falls - and am at risk of taking that natural wonder for granted after 50+ years), it's my favorite.

I used PS7 to apply levels and USM.

Very ghostly. It almost looks "out of this world." Well done!!! The whole scene is beautiful in an almost netherworld way.

Congratulations on being placed in the top 10th, especially with such a hard category to compete with. I rather like the under exposure of this shot. It gives it a moody feeling, and it has captured the sky colours with a dramatic feeling. I wouldn't change a thing. Very well seen.

I have had this shot on my mind a lot lately. It is an extrmely unique shot, which fits the NG theme extremely well. It must have been extremely windy for the snow to be piled up on the trees in that way. There's just something to this shot, I can't quite put my finger on it, but it is truly marvelous. Good luck!

What strange lighting. The sun is obviously still in the sky but the snow makes it appear as if there is lighting coming from the right also. Very Nice!

Instead of white snow, the underexposure has caused the snow to look more like dust or soot, giving it a errie sense of doom. Not sure if this is the intended mood...

I really like this shot, somehow doesn't seem real, i.e. computer generated (Not manipulated, more like a screen shot from a computer game) I like how you have captured the different shades of the trees showing the sides withough the snow.

Would have liked it to have been a little sharper, brings out more detail in the branches. 9 A very good shot!

great shot alomst 3Desq. perhaps some burning of the top sky, and accentuating that yellow a bit more would make this a 10. But hard to see without seeing it like that! Good luck one of the best thus far.
