 We don't get to go into town just to sightsee, but sometimes we do have to travel between camps here in Kuwait. On one such occasion, we stopped off in a town called Fajaheel (I think it is) and there's a lovely new Western-style mall. We took a walk through, but as it was before 4 pm, most of the shops were closed. The people who live here very wisely don't go anywhere during the heat of the day.

Anyway, this is the walkway outside the mall. I quite liked the shadows created combined with the architecture. And since it's rare that I get to shoot here, figured I may as well enter this in a challenge.

ahh Deb
this is awesome

feels like piano keys and if you put some concerto with a little zing behind it, would work as an illustration of what music can look like...or perhaps the sound of a solitary pair of heels clicking along hte sidewalk...

geesh it is early but did someone put something funny in the coffee this morning??

Congrats on the score! Beautiful photo. I gave it a 7. I love the black and white and love all the lines in it. The angled corridor is pretty cool. I'm glad you got to take some pics on your "vacation". :)

beautiful, intriguing image you've achieved here. The composition is perfect, all the different corners of the picture provide visual interest, congrats on the high finish! (i think you deserved even better :P)

Very dramatic image. Love the lines and patterns and the B&W works very well here. One of the best images in this challenges. The only distraction is the white light(?) at the top of the image but I don't know what you could have done about that. 10!
