What a perfectly hilarious and perfectly composed image! This is really outstanding, I so love how your face is the size of the doll, and your cap brim appears to be caressing him. I'm no sports fan, but I am a fan of clever images and this sure is one, a new fav :-) |

George Brett hehe. Didn't he have one popular commercial he did a long time ago? I love this photo - such a great perspective. That cracks me up that you are praying to the bobble head. You are truly a baseball nut. |

Very good shot! nice composition and wonderful "alter" you have there! You must be quite the fan! The only sports I have ever been interested in involve an engine of some sort lol, so I quess I'll just wish you (and them) good luck!! Very nice shot and interesting story! |

As a boy growing up in Jacksonville FL (many, many years ago) my dad would often take me to see the Jacksonville Suns play. The Suns were the farm team at that time for the Royals, so I probably saw George when he was just a rookie. Unfortunately my only strong memories are of the "Sunshine Girls" who ran around the bases at the seventh inning stretch to bring a Coke to the umpires. My dad had binoculars.. |

no amount of praying to the gods of baseball will help the Royals. The worse thing is that George Brett can still outplay most of the minor leaguers that are on the current roster.
Great photo - I love baseball! |

Charlene, this is simply the most fantastic photo. As an ardent football (I will never call it soccer) fan I can so understand this feeling. Brilliant composition and I love the 3d feel of it from you dof. The way that George is so sharply in focus and you are fractionally not is wonderful (as is the fact that the tickets for the game are by George)
Remember though it is not enough praying, you need to follow the exact same routine that you did last time the Royals beat the Yankees...same parking slot, same pre match drinks/food, if you dropped something last time this happened make sure you drop it again this time...and dont even get me started on lucky underwear (that is a tragic story that deserves never to be repeated)
All I can say is it is in your hands
The Royals deserve to win tonight simply to repay this wonderful shot
Beautiful

What a hilarious photo. At first glance I thought "It looks like someone praying at an altar." And so it is!
That was a fascinating story. I should probably have known about it but I've never followed sports very closely. Here's the wikipedia entry on Brett's Pine Tar Incident.

Well, it looks like he uses so much Pine Tar (a phenomenon that I've never heard of) that three of his bats are stuck together. ;-Þ |
