My friend petting a horse at a little "farm zoo" thing at a park.
I really probably should have submitted this other shot, since landscape shots seem to do so well in the free-study... but I love this image so much! :)

Okay, okay, so maybe I should have gotten a picture without the arm. :) Thanks for all the comments. And... I have never seen a score drop so fast! I started out at a glorious 6.7, and ended at a pitiful 5.9. What happened?! :)

The arm is necessary - without it, that look that the horse is giving would be curious but meaningless in the end. With it, there's the connection, the caress mentioned in your title. The processing here is lovely - warm and soft, connecting the "connection" so to speak in gentle light. Excellent work.

Thank you RTK! I wondered if anyone was going to see some emotion in this. I'm glad you did. :)

It was the arm that caught my attention...such a small element but packs such emotion into this image...with out this "distraction" this image would not be the same, there would be no "connection"...so well done.

Great lighting and tones 8
I think I'd prefer it without the hand.

this may have been more effective either without the hand or more of the hand/body its coming from

A shame about that arm (or whatever it is) in front of the horse. It's somewhat distracting.

this would have been better reaching out from behind the horse, but I know they don't really like that. I almost missed the arm.

I really like this one. The only thing that would have made it better is if the person's arm wasn't in the shot.

I think this would be better to not have the hand in there at all. It's a little distracting. The brown tone is nice. BB

This is great but it would have been better without the hand I think as it makes the horse look like a unicorn.

Beautiful textures and dreamy processing, but the arm is almost a distraction to the shot.
