Post challenge:

Oh my god! Thank you sooo much. What an honor! I have been fantasizing about winning a ribbon for one year and four months to be precise, which is basically when I registered and started with photography.

I don't know if anyone will really appreciate what it means to me to be sandwiched between AlexSaberi and hotpasta, both of whom I admire as great photographers. This is such a privilage. Thank you for all the votes and comments.

A lot of people commented about the halo around the subject and I agree - the post processing was perhaps a little sloppy. The halo was more an effect of tone mapping than it was of dodging and burning since I did very little of the latter. But the image could definately be cleaned up a little. I love critique because receiving it is what keeps me improving.

Once again thank you and I'll stop gushing like the runner up in a beauty pageant now. ;)

I originally considered this image for the challenge: but knowing how fastidious many voters are about the interpretation of the challenge, I realised it probably wouldn't score as well as because it doesn't look "street".

I'm attracted to any shot that contains a guitar; this one has a surreal quality - I like it.

cool shot but not so "Street" in my book.
still a nice composition and post processing except for the halloing around the old dude and dodging of the seagull.
would of scored you prob a 7 or 8 if not a street challenge.

Outstanding image! Love the subject, the motion created by the curved pattern of stones leading you to the gull, awesome choice of color and processing.

I would have lie to have seen this one barely processed, I think the elements would have had a much more honest feel. With that said I thin it is a great capture, hope it does well for you.

Nice capture - Love the tones and the juxtaposition of the gull - Slightly let down by the burning in which has left a halo around the guy. Still a nice shot.

Very nice. The dodging is a bit much. I tend to overdo the processing from time to time too. I think I know whose this is.

WOAH - the juxtaposition between the man and the bird. WOWZA. This is fabulous. The swirl of the brick pavers undulate and our eyes drift to the bird again. FANTASTIC. 10 BRAVO

really nice...great title...I think your tint has blown out a few highlights, but other than that, a very nice street compostion
