Thanks for all the great comments! This was shot in my garden using my wife's Canon A630. I did very little editing to it and the photo is a capture of the moment, with no trickery. |

So nice -- can't help but smile back at this photo. Did you take advantage of the expert editing rules to add the butterfly, or was it a lucky capture? Either way, it's delightful. |

Wonderful cute picture. I love how the background color just mimics the color of the butterfly. Congrats on the great score. |

Fun, fun, fun. Love the way it looks like the statue is reacting to being tickled. Congrats on your new second-best score! |

Delightful capture, getting a high score from me. The color of the wood siding distracts a little. I wonder if changing that color (expert editing, maybe to a darker, less reddish brown) would be worthwhile. |

The statue seems to be laughing because he is being tickled. Nice capture. |

Nice find! Or,given that this is expert editing, is it a composite? Either way, works! |

I like the square crop on this composition because it immediately focuses the eye on the main subject(s) - the butterfly and the supporting cast of the face of the green man statue. Focus is nice and sharply detailed and colors are very good. One thing that you could do to increase the visual appeal of this image is to crop it even closer so that none of the red wood background is showing. The background adds nothing to the composition overall - in fact, I think that red hue takes some attention away from the beautiful orange red hues of the butterfly. Cropping that out will insure that the only vivid splash of red/orange hues are from your main subject: the butterfly. That would make your main subject really stand out and shine. Hmmm, just a small observation, I think a butterfly resting on a smiling face has found happiness more than peace and/or a place to rest:-) |
