I don't take pictures of flowers very often :) I didn't get a chance to head out and shoot anything today, so got this shot of my neighbours poinsettia that was stickin' over the back fence. I liked the light, and maybe after seeing all those flower shots from the flower challenge, a little rubbed off :)

The richness of these colors are fantastic - great composition. I like how we peek in at the focused flower through nearer stalks.

Love the light through the red leaves. That's a killer green in the background. Not your normal flower shot.

well nick .. this was stunning as a thumb and its stunning opened .. fantastic colours with a very cross process feel .. i dont know whether you actually did that in your process but wotever you did works really well .. i love the depth and intensity of this photograph .. how amazing when i consider its just some flowers .. you obviously have not only a talent for panoramic scenery, candids of people especially on footpaths!!, volkswagons, black & white's, self-portraits and now flowers .. :)

Here's proof positive how opposite colors on the color wheel really make each other pop. Those colors are magnificent. And the vertical slanted lines really add depth too.

ONe of my mostest favoritest flowers. The acidic background is such a wonderful backdrop. I can't imagine them growin in somebody's yard. WOW The bokeh is stellar.
