I love the colors in this photo, and the lighting on the sides and bottom of the window. Feels very vintage and European.

Your pic is very soothing and calm me a lot. I love it. Could you contact me so I can buy a copy of It? Thanks.

Nice shot. The black window edge really sets a great tone for the shot. Good negative space! 8 - chrisab.

whoa.. I like this window framing alot! Has a nice old, musty feel to it.

Nice landscape, and intersting sky. Teh colors are eyecatching. karmat

Excellent pic. Only the window and beyond seem to exist.
09/21/2002 12:30:00 PM
This really has the feel of a handpainted old black and white. The detail of the bricks in the window is what makes the framing work so well for me. The clouds and sky feel like a painting.

I could have sworn I commented this one. Great shot. I really love everything, except maybe the sky. The coloration used here (IMO) doesn't quite work for sky. Don't worry, I loved the rest so much, you're still getting an 9. Swash

Oh my.. how beautiful. I love the framing idea, I've been wanting to try something like this myself.
09/20/2002 02:40:00 PM
great idea for theme, ok photo/composition (there is something kind of nasty about that yellowy sky!)
09/20/2002 01:55:00 PM
gorgeous photo! Everything fits. Negative space applies, but not the wow factor on this one. 9

Haunting....

This looks like it could have been taken many many years ago! Lovely mood and overall hues and texture of the brick wall.
09/18/2002 10:38:00 PM
Excellent idea. I would have liked it better in natural colors but I like most things that way. I like it a lot though. Nice job.
09/18/2002 06:57:00 PM
As the other contributer, greate idea!
09/18/2002 05:51:00 PM
Sky colors are a bit odd, but excellent challenge interpretation.

I always love window shots. I esp. like the monochrome effect in yours.

Still, quiet, serene and almost dreamlike.

Very nice - good use of neg space.

I really like this image. Good composition, the proper use of lighting I think created a dramatic effect on the subject. This looks like a classical painting. - labrynthe

So damn very interesting.
09/16/2002 07:22:00 PM
very cool use of - space. it's a shame u couldn't get more color in there.
09/16/2002 04:44:00 PM
What an ancient look to this! Very nice indeed. There appears to be some over saturation in the sky that doesn't look natural. Good luck in the challenge...it's a tough one! Grayce aka Gracious

The tones are wonderful here............the whole shot is wonderful..........I really like this. Wish it was a bit more sharp. Score 8 Justine

That's not a window, it's a hole!! It's a nice photo, not sure what happened with the white bits in the cloud though (half way up the sky, coming from left to right), I guess that was a result of the post processing.
09/16/2002 09:18:00 AM
Rapunzal's view......... this is how i imagine the landscape of a fable....... this is soooooooo beautiful......... Harry Potter lives here. The simple concept of the window frame serves the challenge well in this magical illustration
