this shot has back-lighting all right. although it is making those people in silhouette. also the foreground is overwhelmingly front lit.
now front-lit foreground looks beautiful because of the background sunset light. as you can see i am confused, i will not vote for this image and only leave my comment. if it wasn't for this challenge, my vote would have been 8. good luck.

Very interesting. I would suggect a little lower setting on the foreground flash; maybe even a closer crop on the people.

I like the pic with the people with the clouds behind but I think the building in front is too prominent 6

I pretty scene, but I'm seeing more light from the flash than the sun.

impressive in basic. The 2nd light source screams "flash" but that might help it anyway - well done.

Great contrast between warm colors in the foreground, and cool colors in the background. The people add to this photo in that they provide a sense of scale. Great shot.

I really like the middle of this image. Maybe a different crop might make this image better.

So much to look at...the lighting is awesome (I'm sorry, do people still use that word?)...very nice.

Amazing Photo! :) Wouldn't it have been nice to have a doorway wide enough to move a few feet to the right to frame the scene with the three people or maybe a few feet to the left to remove the artifact...just for comparison purposes. However, since I wasn't there, I am sure you thought of these...Excellent Photo as it stands! :)

Not loving the flash. If you had moved over to the left.....it would have been gorgeous!

Nice image - Great saturation and tones here with lots of interest - The orange and blue colours compliment very well and the added bonus of some human interst is great. Very well done.

Maybe not the flash fill light. I do like that cloud and people in the distance. I'd layer and darken the right side and foreground to print or show elsewhere.

Oh my god! This photo is great in so many ways. I like how your sky differs in different areas of the photo and how you got the water to stand out in the photo. Nice shot. I wish you luck and say: "Bring out a blue!"
