I think I read somewhere that Canadian Geese mate for life. When ever the geese fly by, I always look to see if there is an even number flying together. In this case, there were just 11 flying. So I included the extra geese to make it an even number.

This is now truly one of my favorite photos to date.

This is composed of two photos and it is also my first time at doing this kind of copying and pasting. I really wanted to get it too look like one photo. Something is a little off and I do not really know what. Hopefully someone will give me an idea of how best to make it look like one photo.

Glancing through your portfolio is an enjoyable experience. You have a sense of humour and an eye for the creative.

I thought this was very funny when I saw it - the inclusion of the goose, just on the edge there is great.

There's a great emotive in this photo. I was one of your 7's and think you should have scored much higher! I really love the line from the goose's eye that goes directly to the flock. Very nicely done indeed.

Now this is a great photo showing context. Love how the goose is looking slight toward the other geese and how everything is arranged in the frame. Terrific capture.

There's something about your pictures that seems to draw me in - I gravitate to them during challenges. This is one of those. There's a sweetness and light humor but also a terrible sadness to this that transcends geese and applies itself somehow to human nature.

Michelle

Congratulations on producing a picture that is both poigniant and funny. A brilliantly composed composite that tells a story

Sorry it fell agonisingly short of the 6. It deserved that and much much more

Brilliant shot

I gave this a 7. It is poignant and hilarious at the same time. The expression on that goose is priceless!

Well put together and an interesting anthropomorphic story. It's a nice part of the countryside. 8.

Nice shot - Like the tones - Love the composition - Looks like it may be a composite but not too obvious which is good.I think a tad more off the top could add some more impact.

Awwww........poor Fred. His mommy made him stay home because he wouldn't eat his dinner. All of Fred's friends were going to the Goose Fair and all Fred could do was stand and watch. "Please, Mom...let me go!" "No!" his mother said, raising her wing and pointing to the unfinished plate. "You did not eat your dinner." So, poor Fred watched as all of his friends flew overhead, going to the fair.

Fred learned his lesson that day. From that day on, Fred always ate his dinner so that he'd not be left behind.

Today, Fred owns a chain of goose restaurants where all of the very finest of geese go to eat and Fred never misses a Goose Fair!

The End.

I love this shot! It emotes something from me....mainly, wanting to pick poor Fred up and hug him! Really a great shot! It's so heartwarming. Perfect title too.

AWWWWW Nicely captured. Even if it's a combined group of shots using editing, it works well.
