Be who you want.
Live how you want.
Do what you want.

Life will only give
what you give to life.
Are you life?

I am of life

Post- Challenge - Yes, this is Kita...! My girl is now 10 years old. Here is an outtake. And for the record these two images are now being used in a computer department of a large store to promote a particular printer, to show the details of these photos...right down to the little hairs on her arm and above her lip.

BTW.....I put the tattoos on her face....she absolutely loved it. So I must be the 4 year old...but I will tell you one thing...we had some fun 'mum and daughter' time doing it. And that is more important than anything.

What a fantastic shot! regardless of where it placed in the challenge as a photo it is a perfect 10. The lighting is great and the eyes are stunning! Glad to hear that you got something more important out of the shot and that is some bonding time with your daughter.

Man, that's intense, Judi. Good on ya for finding a way to use a butterfly in this one. :)

Perfect tones and focus. This would have surely ribboned had it managed to avoid the DNMC votes.

all the tatoos are a bit much for me, it looks like a 4 year old kind of attacked her face. haha your lighting is is FABULOUS and i love her eyes and expression, if it were me i would loose all the tatoos besides the flowers with the swirlies under her eyes and the butterfly in the center of her forhead. i also like the texture in her hair, it balances the sharpness in her eyes with the softness in the rest of the pciture. the border doesn't really seem necessary either in my opinion. I don't know if it is just my monitor but it has a blueish tint to it which i also think is cool

Doesn't fill the frame but the focus on the eyes is very nice.

This could be a winner. I don't really like the frame cutting into the subject. 9

I like the expression and face paint, but she really isn't very close to filling the frame. And speaking of, that frame's got to go...

Great b&w conversion here...I'm really awed by the crisp tones. Very nice!

Is this Judi and is that your daughter??? I think it is her, as she is Nicole Kidman's twin! This is gorgeous.

Nice - but would have been nicer without the white frame imo.

Rules state: "Compose your photograph so that nothing but your subject is in the frame." IMO there is too much b.g. to meet letter of rules. Very nice photo otherwise. 7

They are of life. Kinda makes sense, but did you mean to say, "I am life"? If so, simply drop the "di". Gorgeous artwork btw, must have taken you ages. And WOW, stunning b&w. Buona fortuna! 10.

this beautiful girl has portrayed some serious attitude here. professionally modeled and equally well photographed. i am not sure about that white frame border though. btw this is one of the very few shots where i did not mind having hair in focus without the complete front-face in focus. nice make-up work too.

She looks like a young Nicole Kidman. I might've cropped it even more to give it the "fill" sense. Great light, focus and contrast.

not really filling the frame, but nice work - good tones, focus and DOF. thin line is rather distracting

Lose the border - it cost you a point. Otherwise, the only bad thing about it is it may not meet everyone's idea of filling the frame. I Still think it's freaky coool though. 8
