Geothermal activity in Yellowstone...

PP = darkening some of the edges with an overlay layer, contrast work, and shadow/highlights to save the flare

i'm really drawn to this photo in your collection i love the way the dust/dirt is kicked up and the comp is on point, you truly captured some thing amazing here. wow its beautiful! great job

I think this looks like what the Wood between the Worlds, from The Magician's Nephew of C.S. Lewis's Narnia Chronicles, would look like. :)

FABULOUS! The contrast between the smoke and the sharp trees is so cool and the distortion is so fun. I need to get myself a lens that can do that. Awesome job of not overexposing the sky, did you use a filter?

You have some beautiful work in your portfolio. The Sigma 10-20 subject grabbed my attention from your profile page so I ended up here. :)

This is a wonderful photograph of a stark and barren type setting. The rising mist is great! Given the subject and feel of this location I like the sepia version better.

OMG .. this is more than insane .. i am at a loss for words, coz most of my flattering comments would be insufficient to put across how much i love this image .. awesome, intense, amazing, beautiful, incredible, stunning, powerful .. the list goes on .. of course i'll have to make this one a fav .. its too good !!! :)
especially love the misty/dusty bits and the fantastic silhouetted burnt branches .. the colouring is perfect ..
love that shutter speed .. FAST !!!!!!

Wow - great perspective. Often times, this lens can be a liability when amongst trees (IMO, anyway) but it works amazingly well here.
