Thanks to all who took their time to vote and comment.

This is not only a new PB but my first true ribbon. The other one was due to a DQ of someone else's entry.

Thanks to my model Fernando who, despite being 6'4", made a great job folding himself behind the frame.

And special thanks to elsapo for his inspiring and wonderful work. I hope he feels honored and not offended by this shot :-)

Shot a few minutes after sunset with natural warm soft light; and dedicated to Jane, a dear friend of ours, who is successfully recovering from surgery.

Hi Lou
If Andy says I am a better photographer than he is, that is probably enough evidence of severe eye damage. I will try to convince him to visit you. Maybe you could give as a 2x1 deal?

Not too bad. Certainly a hard one to capture right. Here was my stab at it.

MY point of view would be the opposite; the ribbon due to DQ is absolutely legitimate, because an image that scored higher was found not to be legal. This one, on the other hand, is a special category of ribbon to me, because it is entirely technical in nature; someone else provided the inspiration, and you replicated the result perfectly. This, of course, is what everyone tried to do, and you did it better than practically all the others.

Congrats!

THANKS BEAR!! AND THANKS EVERYONE FOR ALL THESE NICE COMMENTS

Wow, not a single score of less than 5, and only 8 5's. This may be a record, certainly damned close to one, for fewest 5-and-under scores.

Great work!

Nice emulation on the original! All elements are in sharp focus. Lighting is very good and the pose & expression of the model crawling out from the frame is fabulous! The only suggestion I have here is that the color tones appear a bit flat. Bring up the saturation of colors to make them a little more richer and then play with Brightness/Contrast level to add that bit of punch to the contrast & tonal range.
