Great black and white photo. Very good composition and use of light.

I LOVE the diagonal composition - her face is a wonderful contoured landscape. The intimacy conveyed by the proximity is incredible. Light and shadow, happiness and sadness. It's all here.

this would be a lot better if we could see the eye
02/12/2004 11:36:44 PM
great lighting and a very poignant image. the nose pin is distracting to me though.

this is so pretty, she has really smooth skin *envy*

Very different than all the others I've seen, and well done. The earing/nose earing is a bit distracting here; the focal point should be the tear, but my eyes are drawn to the jewelry. Perhaps the other side of the model would have been a better choice.

Beautiful neatimaging, especially on the tear. Great lighting. The nose stud really ads a tasteful element. Top shot.

I'm a sucker for a nice B&W. very nice!

Nice shot. However, the lightiing is a little off and the background would be better if it was solid.

This is simply amazing, Je n'ai pas le vocabulaire nécessaire pour décrire cette photo.

Nice composition, interesting use of lighting

I like the black and white. I've given it some thought and not sure how the title applies...although I can interpret the photo itself to fit the challenge ok. I don't care for the lighting in this shot...particularly the shadow across the eye and top of the nose. The nose piercing also takes away impact for me. I like the idea, and the creative effort.

A bit too soft for my taste, Neatimage? Great crop, nice line between the corners. Good job.
02/11/2004 11:48:35 AM
Verry beautiful, 10!
02/11/2004 10:52:11 AM
the eye should be lighter, more visible
02/11/2004 10:34:18 AM
The lighting, the softness, the subject. everything conveys that sens of loss. Excellent job.Good luck!

I have tried to get tears before and know how hard it is (they just roll straight off). A bit soft for my tastes, when the brow is sharper it seems?
