This is a portrait of Bob Garas ( bgaras2001)
He taught me so much when I was first starting to get into photography. He doesnt really play the flute, he is more of a rocker.
More of Bob's work here.

I know he is holding it the wrong way, we didnt know at the time :(

Title is a song by Opeth from the album "Deliverance".

This is really great. I love the lighting and contrast. It has a lot of emotion. Nice job.

I was so taken by the eccentricity of the pose, with the wild hair and great lighting, that I didn't actually realise that he was holding it wrongly until I read your note. I mean, if anyone could play the flute that way, it could only be him.
I think a fave.

The fact he's not holding it the right way actually adds an eccentricity to this, which is furthered by the wild hairdo. It's really quite an engaging portrait.

That is utterly amazing, Cory. The lighting and tones are spot on perfect. BRAVO

The lighting is great and the conversion to b/w is awesome. Too bad he isn't holding the flute correctly - the fingers on the right hand should be coming from behind the instrument and pointing out towards the viewer and those on the left hand should be over the top (fingers facing towards the face). Also, he appears to be holding it on the wrong side (or the image was inverted)
