Congratulations, effort and perserverance will eventually yield great results. It's a great academically themed shot. Try selling it.

Compositionally, even the pencil is pointing toward the spinning globe.
Cropping, using a partial globe, also puts more emphasis on the globe.

Love the idea and the composition, meets the challenge very well, my only (very) minor comment would be that the desktop seems somehow muted compared to the rest of the image. Still an excellent 8 though

Awesome idea!!! Too many other things in the shot. In a set up shot like this ya gotta keep it simple. Your lighting is kinda flat too. In studio/set up/gimmic shots like this you got to have everything just right or it looks kinda hokey...
