 - duplicate background, auto levels, auto contrast, auto color, lower opacity to about 80%
- rotated clockwise 1 or 2 and cropped square
- selected eye to it's own layer, sharpened, bumped up saturation a smidge
- slight desaturation of the rest of the cat, flattened
- used urban acid filter with slight changes to the curves and saturation
- new layer to darken edges and lighten the face
- ran lukos sharpening
- some dodging & burning
- resized
- smart sharpen then more selective sharpening with the sharpen tool to the ear and around the eye
- sfw

Back for a second comment, I think I know what to say now. :) I put this up on my desktop background the moment I saw it. And it's still there. Your cat has been silently staring at me for over a week. I simply can't get over the startling, exquisite beauty of this image! The clarity of the focus is breath-taking, and the sweet colors make me want to stroke her cheek and give her a little scratch behind the ear. Splendid, glorious photo. :)

Excellent - fits the challenge very well, and by including the body, you've effectively filled the frame - something lacking in a lot of shots. Mostly I just like staring back. :-)

If this wasn't so perfectly done, I'd say "oh here comes another face cut in half" but DAMN that is fine work. Excellent detail, light and DOF. If I were to change a thing, maybe that little tuft of white fur in the lower right area. Otherwise - SPOT ON.
